Twenty Five Years ago, Dan Fuchs opened up a small 1500 square foot bagel shop in East Meadow, NY named, Dans Bagel Cafe where only freshly baked on premises bagels, homemade cream cheese and sliced nova was sold.
Throughout the past 25 years, Dan has opened and operated a number of successful establishments throughout Long Island. In 1995 he launched “Bagel Biz” located on Route 110 in Melville. Catering to the high commercially populated area as well as a demand from the residents, Bagel Biz of Melville was (and still is) an instant success.
We aren't however, just talking about bagels and coffee here. With the growing demand throughout the community for catering for both local businesses and residents, Bagel Biz Gourmet Caterers was added to the family back in 1996. Bagel Biz Gourmet Caterers has a very extensive menu so it's customers can coordinate to their guests appetites.
With time there was still something missing from the family, Bagel Biz and Bagel Biz Gourmet Caterers needed a third member to fully complete the family. In October of 2009, Dan shut his doors briefly to do a massive renovation to the dated store, and just 10 days later, Sweet Hollow Bakery joined the team.
The new and eye appealing store grew from 2000 square feet to a “mega bagel store” at 3800 square feet. With all baking done on premises by its experienced bakers, Sweet Hollow Bakery masters the art in desserts from its wide variety of danish/breakfast items, gourmet cookies, cakes, pies, large & mini pastries and MUCH MUCH MORE!!
Sweet Hollow Bakery also takes custom cake orders as well, to satisfy the needs of a specialized event. Throughout the store there is a Chopped Salad Bar, Panini and Gourmet Wrap Case, State of the Art Bakery, Breakfast Grill, and of course the famous Gourmet Appetizing, Salads, Cream Cheeses and Freshly Baked Bagels that started it all back in 1985. Customers have the choice of taking their items on the go, or lounge in the atmospheric dining area.
For those who can't leave the home or office there is an excellent delivery service so customers don't have to miss out on an important meal or conference call. After 25 years of experience, and knowledge in the business, you can say that Dan Fuchs has revolutionized and expanded the way past, present, and future patrons view the New York Bagel Store. |
