What is a bagel?
Pronounced: (bey-guhl) It’s a leavened, doughnut-shaped, firm-textured roll, with a brownish glazed surface, made of dough first poached and then baked.  But, a BagelBiz bagel isn’t just any bagel, they’re America’s #1 hand-rolled bagel and we’ll ship them to you no matter where you are.

What makes a hand-rolled bagel so special?
Hand rolling our bagels makes them light and fluffy, which results in a bigger bagel. Also, hand rolling doesn't warm up the dough as much as machine rolling, which means the yeast remains dormant, so the bagels last longer than they would otherwise.

Can bagels be shipped and still be fresh?
Yes, they can.  We vacuum pack our bagels to keep them fresh

How can I keep my bagels fresh after I receive them?
Keep them sealed in an airtight bag and stored at room temperature for prolonged freshness.  You can even freeze bagels and they will keep for 3-4 months. Pre-slice your bagels and seal them in an airtight bag and place them in the freezer.  When you’re ready to eat them, just take them out and put them in the toaster for a few minutes.  Bagels do not need to be thawed before toasting.

Can you ship cream cheese, salads and spreads?
Yes!  We ship all of our perishable products with a cold pack and special thermometer so that you can be sure that when they arrive, they have been kept at a safe temperature for maximum freshness.  We recommend that perishables be shipped overnight for the best flavor and freshness.

How will I know that my order is fresh when I receive it?
Our WarmMark™ Thermometer indicates temperature level.  It has three easy-to-read circles to show you how your package has maintained its temperature.  If for any reason, the temperature has been compromised due to shipping problems, we offer a satisfaction guarantee, just give us a call and we will either send you a new order or refund you for your purchase.

How will my order be shipped?
Your order is shipped in a cooler-style box with a cold pack and freshness thermometer for maximum freshness.

When will my order ship?
At BagelBiz.com we try to process your orders the day they are placed. However, during peak periods it may take up to 48 hours for your order to be processed. Orders requesting accelerated shipping (Overnight, 2nd Day, Priority, Express) are given priority but all orders are guaranteed to go out within 5 business days.

Can I get my order on a weekend/holiday?
Thanks to USPS Express Mail, BagelBiz.com can offer delivery 365 days a year. That's including Christmas, New Years, Saturday and Sunday.

Can orders be placed in advance?
Yes, order can be placed in advanced.  Just specify the date that you want it to arrive and we will get it there as requested.

What should I do if my package does not arrive?
Please call us (877-777-BAGEL (2243)) and we will track the package for you.  If your package does not arrive as requested, we offer a satisfaction guarantee, just give us a call and we will either send you a new order or refund you for your purchase.

 What if I have a special need/request?
Feel free to give us your instructions in the "Additional Instructions" box on the "Billing Information" page of our checkout process, or call us at 877-777-BAGEL to speak with a live operator (English, Spanish, and Russian speaking operators available).

What happens if an item I ordered is out of stock?
We do our best to keep our online inventory up to date, however mistakes do happen. If the particular item you ordered (such as a t-shirt or a mug) is out of stock, we will notify you of the problem and offer alternative items, the option to cancel the order, or the option to hold the order until all items are in stock. If the missing item is a part of a larger order, we may give you the option to send you the items in stock, and send you the rest of your order as soon as it becomes available.

If the out of stock item is a part of another item (e.g. one of the cheeses in a gift basket is temporarily out of stock), we will replace it with items of equal or greater value at no additional cost to the consumer.

What if I want to put together a custom package or one not available on the website?

I am outside the United States can I still place an order?
At this time BagelBiz.com is shipping only to the lower 48 states (Continental United States). Feel free to place the order from any country you are in (except where limited by U.S. Law), but the delivery address has to be within the continental United States.

What if I am not home when my order arrives?
Because of their time sensitive nature, delivery drivers are instructed to leave any packages containing perishable goods without waiting for a signature. It is imperative that you agree to this as part of the checkout process. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that the products will still be good upon arrival.

If you are worried about the safety of your order we suggest that you make arrangements with your friends or neighbors, or even with your employer and have the package delivered there.

The delivery of packages not containing perishable goods is left up to the individual delivery drivers. If the driver feels that the neighborhood is sufficiently safe, or can find a suitably safe location to leave the package, they will leave it, otherwise, they will leave a notice of attempted delivery. Please follow the instructions on the notice if you receive one.   Alternately, you may leave instructions in plain sight by your mailbox or delivery area instructing the driver on where to leave the package.

What if I am sending a gift and wish to include a card with my order?
At BagelBiz.com we believe that every gift deserves a message. We offer the ability to include a message card with your order. When you reach the "Shipping Methods" page of the checkout process, you will see an option to add a card next to every destination your order is being delivered to.

Alternately, you may wish to write a single message to all of your intended recipients. At the top of the same page you will find a link allowing you to enter a standard message to be sent to all of the intended recipients. You can also create a generic message with the above option and then edit each card separately to customize it to the intended recipient.

I have entered a promotion code, but the system says the code is invalid, what's going on?
The laws of New York State, governing BagelBiz.com, allow for promotions to be limited in context and duration. Consequently, our promotion codes expire after a predetermined amount of time. If you received the promotion code as part of our promotional/marketing efforts, the expiration date for the offer should be clearly stated on the material you accessed.  If you feel that you received the error by mistake, please contact us by email at info@BagelBiz.com or 877-777-BAGEL
